Fallen in love with BTS? These three songs can make you love them even more

It’s a beautiful fall day in Toronto. And I cannot wait to go back home after a long day at work. Commuting may sound lonely and tiring. Luckily, I am not alone. I put on my headphones, turn on my BTS playlist and enjoy the trip.

What I like about BTS songs is that they are not only about romantic love or a heartbreaking break-up. They also try to talk about many social problems. In addition, self-love is another topic that BTS has been addressing to encourage people as some may be struggling to find it.

That is also the reason why more and more people feel that there’s a connection with BTS and their music. And if you are one of those people, maybe these three songs will make you love them even more.

Spring Day

Released in the spring of 2017, Spring day has become one of my favorite songs. Billboard once described the song as “alt hip-hop song infused with rock instrumentals and EDM synths,” with “dreamy vocals and yearning lyrics.”

Missing somebody is never an easy feeling, especially when you cannot even physically meet them. It seems to me that this song also encourages everyone that when you miss someone, it can become a motivation to work harder and to live better. As my favorite line is, “no darkness, no reasons can last forever.”

   Not Today

Releasing just one week after the sentimental song, Spring Day, Not Today shows the fierce side of BTS.  If Spring Day gives you a relaxing time, Not Today can make you dance along with its hip hop style.

Through this song, BTS encourages everyone to be confident in life, to get up and follow  your dream. It is not going to be an easy road and there will be times when you feel everyone is turning their back. But try your best and together with your friends, you can erase any doubts into thin air. As BTS said, “We couldn’t fail. Because we believed in each other.”

   Fire

Similar to Not Today, Fire is also an upbeat song with powerful raps and strong vocals. While Not Today is what BTS wants to say to haters, Fire encourages young people to follow their dreams, despite all of the hardships.

BTS knows how hard it is to live your life as you want. The band started their music career at a very young age. BTS does not come from a big company. Not many people thought they are talented or liked their music at the beginning.

Still, they keep going forward as the lyrics in Fire says, “Live your life. It’s yours anyway.” And they have become so successful now as they dare to follow their dreams.

With the finished concert at Citi Field, BTS burned up the stage with more than 40,000 fans. Today, BTS has been named the most successful K-pop band in the world with so many achievements.

You may love them for their appearance at first. But hopefully, these three songs can make you love their music more. Furthermore, you can feel connected and realize self-love through these songs. Now I am curious. If you can name your three BTS favorite songs, what would it be?
